Our Flooring Work
Pulling carpet is the easy half. The half that decides how the floor looks in five years is what happens underneath: we check the subfloor, screw down what squeaks, and flatten it before a single plank goes in. Otherwise the new floor telegraphs every problem the old one was hiding. Stairs included — they are the hardest part of a floor job and the first thing anyone sees.
Carpet, pad, tack strip and staples. We take it with us, so you are not left with a roll of it in the driveway.
Squeaks screwed down, soft spots replaced, high spots taken down. This is the step that gets skipped and the one that shows.
Treads and risers are where a flooring job is won or lost. They are also the first thing a guest looks at.
We will tell you honestly which one fits the room and the traffic instead of selling you the most expensive box.
