Our Screen Rooms Work
A screen room is the back porch you actually sit on. Same structure as a patio cover — posts, footings, a header sized for the span and a finished ceiling — then closed in with screen panels and a door. We build them over an existing concrete slab, over a deck, or on a new slab we pour first. And if you decide later that you want to use the room in January too, the windows go in without starting over: that is the same room, finished as a sunroom.
If the concrete is already there we build on it. If it is not, we pour it — same crew, so nobody is waiting on anybody.
Framed panels in an aluminum system, not screen stapled to wood. The door closes and latches like a door instead of swinging in the wind.
Fixed screen for a room you leave open all season, or motorized screens you drop when you want them and roll up when you do not.
The difference between a screen room and a sunroom is glass. Build the structure right the first time and adding windows later is an upgrade, not a rebuild.
